Pamela comes to textile design from a life-long passion for the decorative arts. Besides surface pattern design, Pamela makes and designs quilts. Her fabric selections show a strong eye for color, and eclectic design tastes, giving her a unique perspective on creating fabric collections that are strong and eye catching. Inspiration can come from any quarter; everything from alligators, to clothes pins, to international travel find their way into her work. Raised in Marin county, Pamela credits her seamstress mother for her inventive and inquisitive spirit, and her carpenter father for her impulse to create things that are better than they need to be. She currently lives in Oakland, and happily self-identifies as “quirky.”
